Blood Drip Lips: 2026's Vampiest TikTok Lip Trend, Step by Step

TikTok's newest lip obsession skips the fake fangs entirely. Here's how to get 2026's Blood Drip Lips look with liner, matte colour and one glassy pool of gloss.

There's a new lip obsession taking over TikTok this week, and it has nothing to do with fangs. It's all in the pout. We're calling it Blood Drip Lips: a deep, stained mouth with a glossy pool of "blood" caught at the corner, like you've just come up for air mid bite. It's dramatic, it's a little unhinged, and it is, somehow, completely wearable to the shops. 🦇

Unlike the fake teeth and denture adhesive going round on our feeds, this trend lives entirely in your makeup bag. It's liner, colour and gloss, layered in a very specific order to get that fresh, glossy, just bitten effect. Grab your kit, we're doing this properly.

What actually is the Blood Drip Lips look

Think less "costume vampire" and more "your lipstick had a very good night out." The structure is a slightly oversharpened liner (your bite mark), a flat, deep matte underneath (the stain), and a wet, glassy gloss pooled at the centre or corner of the lips (the drip). Layered together, it reads as moody and a bit feral rather than Halloween fancy dress, which is exactly why it's spreading so fast this month.

Step 1: Prep like the lips matter (because they do)

Matte lips and liner sit best on a soft, hydrated base, not dry or flaky skin. Smooth on our Embalming Lip Oil in Venom a few minutes before you start. It sinks in fast, leaves no greasy residue, and gives the colour something to grip onto. Consider it the plumping, calming step before the drama begins.

Step 2: Line it like a bite mark

This is the step that makes or breaks the whole look. Take the Eternal Lip Liner in Nocturnal and overline very slightly along your cupid's bow and the centre of your bottom lip, the two points where a "bite" would naturally sit. Its deep, near black red keeps the outline cool and moody rather than bright, so the whole effect looks freshly bitten rather than freshly lined. The creamy formula glides on without tugging, so you can build the line up slowly rather than committing to one heavy stroke.

Step 3: Fill with a colour that means business

Press the Eternal Lip Stain in Inferno over the whole lip. It delivers a full, opaque burst of properly bloody colour in one swipe, with a lightweight, non-sticky formula that settles in and does not budge once it has set. This is the shade doing most of the work, so take your time building it up evenly before you move on.

Step 4: Create the drip

Here's the trick that makes this trend read as "blood drip" rather than "just a stained lip." Dab the Ozzy Osbourne X Jolie Beauty Multichrome Lip Gloss in Lights Down right at the centre of your bottom lip, letting it pool slightly rather than spreading it edge to edge. Its shifting, multichrome finish catches the light exactly like a fresh, wet drip would, giving the whole look an extra unhinged shimmer for photos. Add a touch more at one corner if you're feeling brave.

Step 5: Let your eyes whisper, not shout

Because the lips are doing all the talking here, keep your eyes smudgy and understated. Smoke out your lash line with the Smoulder Eyeliner Pencil in Black, then use the ultra fine tip of the Infinity Eyeliner Pen to add a barely there flick at the outer corner. Nothing sharp, nothing structured, just a soft, sleepy darkness that lets the mouth stay the main event.

And that's it. Bite mark liner, a burst of proper bloody red, one glassy drip of shimmering gloss, and eyes that know to stay quiet. It photographs beautifully, it holds up on a night out, and unlike the fangs everyone else is wrestling with, you can eat your dinner in it without incident.

Every product in this tutorial is vegan and cruelty free, as always, because looking like you drink blood shouldn't mean anyone actually had to bleed for it. Try the look this week and tag us, we'd love to see your version of the drip. 🖤
