The nights are getting shorter, the sun is beginning to shine, and many of us are starting to think about the summer holiday that might be ahead of us in just a few months. However, unless you’ve religiously gone to the gym every day during the winter, chances are you’re a little worried about how your body will look when you get that bikini out. If this is true, then you will want some tips about how to get a perfect beach look – and this blog is just what you need.
Perfect the bronzed look
Almost everybody looks better with a bit of a tan, and for this reason you should use your oval brushes to your advantage and apply a bronzer along with your makeup. This will allow you to look great, and it will put you in the mood for summer – it’s amazing what an oval makeup brush can do!
Drink plenty of water
Over the course of the winter months, we may find that our skin has become dull and pale, and a great way to help with this is to start drinking more water. It can be helpful to carry a bottle around with you at all times, as this means that you would be able to sip from it. If you work in an office, then keeping a bottle on your desk is a good idea, because you will get into the habit of sipping from it.
Go outside
Being outside is great for a number of reasons – firstly, you can burn lots of calories by exercising, and secondly you feel much better thanks to the vitamin D that you get from the sun’s rays. Even the winter sun has this benefit, and this can help you to get the motivation that you need in order to work towards the beach body that you have been hoping for.
Don’t forget to use the weights
If you go to the gym, then you might be in the habit of simply using the cardio equipment and skipping the weights entirely. If this is something that you know you’re guilty of, then you should try to make a change – as building a little bit of muscle will look great when it’s time to get onto the beach. Not only is this the case, but you will also burn more calories on a daily basis if you have a higher muscle mass, which means that you will be able to eat more food – and what’s not to like about that?
The main thing with any changes that you want to make with your body, however, is to make sure that you are starting early enough for them to take effect. There is no point in getting all the way to July and then panicking – if you start now, you are sure to be able to make enough of change to allow you to see the difference in yourself, and that means that your body confidence on the beach will shine through.
